Make the time to come out and learn how to utilize the methods presented by the professionals from studentscome1st. For more than 10 years we have been able to assist those who have attended our presentation. Each attendee now has a greater understanding of the options and benefits associated with being responsible in regards to their student loans.
During our Debt Management presentations, we articulate a creatively simple, yet effective approach focused on basic budgeting, credit scoring and the critical skills needed regarding student loan repayment.
Our One-on-One consultation provides clear direction to those in default regarding the repayment process and credit recovery. We contact borrowers directly on behalf of the school and provide available repayment options that could protect the borrower's credit rating during times of financial instability. These options include:
- Your right to deferment,
-
Forbearance,
- Forgiveness, and
- Consolidation
Our Default Prevention service provides each institution with an in-depth plan to lower its default ratio by 80%. Through entrance and exit counseling, emails and letter campaigns to the students; we've experienced great success with this process. Note: It is essential to have the full cooperation of the registrar's and financial aid departments for this plan to be effective.
Our Financial Aid Workshops provides new students and their parents key information that should be known prior to signing off on student loans. Debt management, the impact of interest rates and how to calculate your loan need is covered.
We provide Career Planning, interviewing skills workshops, effective resume writing and internships. We also assist with understanding what it takes to secure available scholarships.

"This is to acknowledge our satisfaction with the exit interviews that have been done by Linda Mobley and her staff. The students are very impressed with the sessions, as seen by the "excellent evaluations" that they complete at the end of the presentations... With this hands-on approach, it is interesting and a plus for our students in understanding the importance of loan repayment. We highly recommend her sessions and we look forward to her return to our campus."
